Have you read the book “Java How to Program”?

If you are working Java and related technologies, or aspiring to be one, I am recommending the book “Java How to Program” from Pearson Education Inc (Prentice Hall) as a “must read”.

I had the privilege of reviewing a few specific chapters from this book and I had found them to be pretty good. Concepts are presented from a simple but very practical perspective. Subsequently, I have gone through the whole book (8th edition).

This is not just another book on Java. Java has come a long way from its simple beginning in 1990s. Java is covered in this book in current technological context. A wide spectrum of topics like web 2.0, web services, object oriented analysis and design, and design patterns, are covered in ease, retaining practical relevance .
